How much longer will ISO 9001 certification survive?

I just discovered Blogger  and decided to try it. For those who know me, professionally speaking, know that I am a veteran of the accredited management system certification business. Having been trained as a Quality Management System Lead Auditor back in 1988 and having been involved with ISO 9001 certification since then, I have seen how impacting ISO 9001 can be for organizations, who want to understand the "quality component" of their business processes. THE GOOD! I have also seen how ISO 9001 can be manipulated in order for meaningless certificates to be issued. THE BAD! And even worse, I have seen how ISO 9001 has been trivialized and commoditized, so it could be commercialized very easily. THE UGLY!
